AIMS HIGH with CHRISTIAN VALUES

PSHE

Personal, Social and Health Education and Citizenship

The school strives to develop high standards in the children’s moral and ethical attitudes, encouraging self-confidence and helping them to learn and use language about feelings and the factors that affect those around them.

In Key Stage 1 the children will learn about themselves as developing individuals and as members of their communities. They learn the basic rules and skills for keeping themselves healthy and safe and how to behave well. By being members of a class and the school community children are learning important social skills, such as sharing, taking turns, playing, helping others and how to resolve simple arguments. They are given opportunities to show that they can take responsibility for themselves and the environment. They begin to learn about their own and other people’s feelings. There is an increasing awareness of the views, needs and rights of other children and older people.
In Key Stage 2 the children learn about themselves as growing and changing individuals with their own experiences and ideas. They are learning about wider society and becoming more mature, ploads/2011/04/kestrels-button.jpg” alt=”abc” width=”342″ height=”100″ />Personal, Social and Health Education and Citizenship

They are learning about wider society and becoming more mature, independent and self-confident. Their moral responsibility and sense of social justice is developed. They learn how to make more confident, informed choices about their health and the environment. They take greater responsibility both individually and as a group for their own learning and development.
